For now, my vision is very general as I am beginning to learn more about my DFM Classmates. I am in the initial stages of building relationships with some individuals in my track to narrow the concept for my major media project.
My vision is to create an interactive multimedia project that engages the audience with an accessible and easy to navigate web format.
My proposal is for the development or redesign of a website’s format and content for a grassroots community organization. I plan to use social media tools to enhance the nonprofits web presence and increase the dissemination of their information through social networks.
Within the scope of my major project, I plan to collaborate with a Detroit community organizer and explore the service(s) their organization provides to gain a conceptual picture of their audience and/or clients to formulate objectives and a plan to design and develop a web media project. Exact thoughts on how it will support my vision of Detroit’s future will be unveiled as the project unfolds.
I need to gain web design, development and software skills, along with social media experience to complete this project.
